“The Danger of a Single Story”   is a great review and insight into perceptions  that exists between groups throughout the world.  The speaker is a Nigerian novelist, Chimamanda Adichie.  Her experience  and perspective of the world was based on “ a single story”.

During his campaign for president, Senator Barack Obama used the phrase “post-racial America,” which was understood to mean that race and other identity groups would cease to be targets of prejudice.

Although such tolerance has come a long way since the 1950s, what more could be done to bring us to a completely “post-racial” society?

It is always advisable to approach an issue from all perspectives. It is not acceptable to come up on a conclusion about something based on a single observation. However, many people tend to conclude on something without first exhausting all issues associated with it. I had the same problem on Islamic religion……………………………
