So here is something about myself. My name is Suze Jack Zhang and I’m originally from China. I lived in Vancouver Canada for about 7 years with my mom and then I decided to come to study in the States in year 2010. I choose Berkeley because I’d like to be a UC Berkeley student since my intended major is Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I have worked in a Canada premier computer store, NCIX, for one year. My job was to help people fix their computer problems, including both software and hardware issues, such as virus infection and damaged hard-drive. I’m not sure how to connect this experience to my major, which is all about programming. This is also my first time using Rushessay, so I’m not sure if you can make up something or exaggerate my experience to strengthen my application. I’m a 4.0 international student who have taken all my classes at Berkeley City College and Laney College. Unfortunately, I have been rejected last year by UC Berkeley and I think the main reason was my personal statement. I will also send you my old personal statement. I’m currently also working part-time job at Laney College in the Mathlab as a math tutor. I’m not sure what personal quality I should write about in the second part of my personal statement. I’m responsible, independent, smart, and tough. I’m also friendly, out-going, caring, and thoughtful. I have donated blood and volunteered in church and elder home. I think I still have a lot of things that I need to tell you so that you can help me write a better personal statement, so please let me what else you need know. Thanks.
