American law: It is important for a paralegal to understand the various sources of law, and be able to locate those sources on both a state and federal level. When researching, it is important to know the various sources of laws to be researched. There are both primary sources (of greatest importance), and secondary sources. In addition, law can have either mandatory authority or persuasive authority on a court.

Please read carefully and complete a written assignment as directed below:

Prepare an essay describing the various primary sources of American laws, noting the distinctions in the way in which each source is created and how each impacts the law.
In addition, provide examples of what sources of laws would amount to mandatory authority, versus what types would amount to persuasive authority in a particular state court.
