Oral History Project Part A and B

Part A is the interview with a member of your family or community who identifies as a woman using the questions that I provided and an additional 3-5 original questions that you create (your original questions MUST be highlighted).

Part B is the typed transcript of that interview with an included list of the questions asked. Please watch the video below for more details.

The typed portion that you will be turning in will be the typed transcript of the interview and the interview questions (you are not required to turn in any audio/visual recordings of the interview that you may be completing for the assignment). Please follow the assignment guidelines on Canvas and our syllabus for the due dates of this assignment.

To Do List

  1. Read the Oral History Project Guideline either in (PDF) or in (Word Doc) and watch the video in this page
  2. Download the 20 questions and create your 3-5 unique questions for your interviewee. Your unique questions MUST be highlighted when turned in.
  3. Interview and record the interview of the selected woman of your family

REMEMBER: you don’t need to turn anything in for part A. However, you do need to turn in your transcribed interview for part B
