I agree that its important to make each employee feel valued and that due to their generations that can be done in several ways. One way to know how to value your employees it is important to know them on a different level. It doesn’t have to be difficult to reconcile the generational difference in the workplace. For some people managing multiple generations in the workplace may not be as easy as it sounds. According to paychex.com (2019), Each generation has its own set of expectations, communication techniques, and viewpoints. Employers may leverage the individual capabilities of their workforce and better compete in the marketplace by implementing a management approach that addresses the distinct features of different generations in the workplace. The gap is the difference in attitude and behavior between groups of people born at different times. Each generation grows up in a different environment, and as a result, their employment expectations may differ.

Think of it this way, most of generation X grew up with dial-up internet and kids nowadays (I know my son and great nieces) are growing up with the internet at their hands. Of course Gen Z is more computer savvy and some of the older gens are not but they are learning. We’ve just got to learn to how to communicate with each other and learn from one another.
