Ericks’s problem largely involves the expatriates’ interaction with the residents of the countries to which Tex Mark will send them. Clearly, the problem in the Mexican assignment was avoidable had the engineer and his team been in good terms with the government. Going through the files, Erick noticed that it took 5 months and to weeks longer to get essential permits needed to undertake the project. With such facts at hand, and the knowledge that a pending assignment has its engineer not so happy about the length of time involved, Erick has to come up with a plan to ensure mishaps such as one experienced in Mexico never happen again. With such facts in mind, Erick views rigorous training as a solution to the predicament. He, however, faces a challenge in that the rigorous training would need additional capital input, something the company directors aim to reduce…………………………………………….
