2. RESPONSE TO STUDENT SANDRA:As a social worker for the parents of Mike and Joe; they are struggling. This phase of their development is lacking multiple parenting skills, including providing a safe and healthy home environment. From the movie, it is obvious that their lives, as children were also; difficult and challenging and apparent their own parents did not fair well either; in the parenting phase ( the domino effect theory).My perspective on their behavior and influences were developed without any outside support or interaction from their friends or co-workers. The human condition cannot simply be positive all the time and accepting this reality might actually lessen the discomfort of untoward emotions (Hayes, Strosahl, & Wilson, 2003).As a social worker, evaluate the parents individually; taking into account their biological, psychological and social aspects of their lives, when determining the development of their problems including; interview and assessing their current needs, strengths and weaknesses, assessing the parents when gathering relevant information, assisting Bob in receiving services for alcohol abuse and Theresa for anxiety and depression, coordinating and implementing support packages to help the parents, as well as with Mike and Joe, and address each family member for setting tailored measurable goals.Reference:Lundahl, B.
