If we separate competitive sport by Gender, why don’t we separate it by race?

Given the reason that we separate competitions by Gender was due to genetic makeup, wouldn’t it make sense to separate competitions by Race as well, as every race have a different genetic makeup which would prove advantageous for a particular sports. E.g Running short and long distances for Africans, etc.
