Qualitative research is research yielding information that cannot be easily reduced to numbers; typically involves an in-depth examination of a complex phenomenon (Leedy and Ormord,2016). When little information exists on a topic, when variables are unknown, when a relevant theory base is inadequate or missing, a qualitative study can help define what is important- that is, what needs to be studied (Leedy and Ormond, 2016). The article used data collection as a qualitative way of research. I also saw that they also used data analysis as well. With the two of those being used they then used the constant comparative method which is when a researcher goes back and forth between data collection and data analysis. When reading this article I found that the writer left some questions unanswered and that to me seems like they were having trouble identifying what they were trying to investigate.
