First paper
For Monday, you should open the Chapter I am looking for you to watch the 3 videos: Teams vs. Groups, Collective Decision Making, A Pep Talk from Kid President to You, glance over the discussion questions and lecture notes, read the chapter, peruse the PowerPoint, then reflect on what was important to your future success and professionalism in the chapter and write about it. There are no right or wrong answers, as long as you tell me WHY THIS INFO MATTERS TO YOU. Again, I want to know why it matters to you and YOUR future.
Go deep into reflection and critical thinking. Do not regurgitate the chapter, then tell me in one sentence why it matters…the entire paper should be about why it matters to you and your future…you should use critical thinking skills and deep thought to articulate this. You can discuss your own experience with strengthening teams and conducting meetings, what that looks like now, and what that will look like in your future life and career path. Think about what it means to be a member of a group versus a member of a team: if you are on a sports team, you can use your experiences as examples. Meetings are changing…with on-line becoming our new norm, talk about how this innovative thinking can be both positive and negative in meeting outcomes. Also, talk about how you motivate yourself and others!!! So much to think about in this chapter…dig deep, no surface level responses!!!

You can discuss your own experience with technology in the workplace, what that looks like now, and what that will look like in your future life and career path. Think about what it means to utilize technology effectively and how those that are not up to date on technology may be left behind. Please examine the drawbacks of technology and the impact that technology can have on relationships and expressing emotions. Think deeply about the balance of personal relationships and professionalism regarding technology…are those boundaries important to you or are they fluid for you? Think about what communication channel is best for specific messages…we have all heard the saying, “another meeting that could have been an email”.
