Seeing with Different Eyes: please select a work of art/creative expression (as broadly defined by our textbook) that you truly dislike (and may not consider as being “Art” at all) and make your best effort to describe how and why others may truly love it (and consider it to be exemplary art). A piece of art that I dislike but some people like

            GUSTAVE CAILLEBOTTE: “Paris Street, rainy day” 1877

In this painting, people are walking in a town holding umbrellas as it seems to be raining. However, the paint does not include rain, an aspect that shows that people were perhaps not protecting themselves from the rain. This paint is historically important as it presents Paris as a very beautiful and clean place. For instance, in the picture there is no presence of garbage, or paper littered all over the town.  Furthermore, there is not presence of beggars or homeless people in town. This aspect shows that Paris used to be a very nice place……………..
