Introduction

In the recent years, there has been an increase in the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (Dunn et al 2001). As a result of the increase, one wonders how parents cope with anxiety of educating their autistic children given the fact that children with autism have special requirements. Apart from the need to introduce efficient treatment that is cost-effective and empirically supported for children with autism, Dyson (1993) argue that there is need to support parents of children with autism in order to help them cope with their children and provide or attempt to provide education for them.
