I believe that the forecast for e-commerce online sales for 2025 will be around 563 billion dollars. The pandemic influenced this projection by a lot because an article I read stated that it accelerated the shift to e-commerce by 5 years. as the global pandemic went on and businesses closed many people shifted to online shopping in greater numbers and frequency. many people shifted away from physical stores to digital shopping. in the beginning of 2020 department stores were seeing a 25% decline and then in the second quarter it reached 75%. during the pandemic it made people realize which retailers were essential andante studies found that clothing declined as people worked from home. categories such as groceries, alcohol, and home improvement materials went up. major retailers like Walmart and target have embraced their omnichannel fulfillment to their advantage. both invented in e-commerce and reported great earnings and the pandemic helped drive e-commerce sales by 97%. I feel like he pandemic helped major retackles grow their e-commerce strategies like targets same day fulfillment service grew by 273% which is very good. as Time goes on e-commerce will continue to grow and sales will skyrocket.

I believe that e-commerce will continue to grow for online sales. Right now every on is shopping online for things to met their personal needs. From all the charts online it looks as of the sales have exulted by trillions on dollars over the years and will continue to rise over the years. Companies and businesses have to evolve to the new upcoming on line cells as far as having to put different programs up like ordering online and picking up in store or researching product online and buying it in the store. Social media is one of the biggest rise is right now there are so many other social medias like Facebook, YouTube, tick tock, Instagram and etc that have so many advertisements to buy from an they give you the links to just click on so that you can order it. Companies have made it so much easier to order online because when the pandemic happened all people could do to find cleaning products or groceries was shop online. When the bands were lifted people just kept ordering online to avoid getting sick or they found it easier to keep ordering online because it saves the customers time. So I think by 2025 the e-commerce will tripled if not more then now.
