Introduction
With the increasing globalization and interaction between people from various communities and cultures, counselors have had to adapt to the diverse cultures and beliefs that some of their clients may hold on to. Multicultural awareness is therefore very important in counseling. For effective intercultural counseling, the counselor has to familiarize themselves with the culture and the cultural differences in their clients. It is only then that a counseling session can be helpful and the client can get the best out of it.
