In this paper, you must provide a summary of a current event that was discussed in the media sometime during 2016. Then, your paper should explain how memory research findings can provide useful insights into understanding the event that you have chosen, by providing a description of the key methods and findings from at least 3 research articles about memory, published in reputable scholarly journals. I can provide guidance as to what is and what isn’t a legitimate journal article for the purpose of this assignment. Papers must be double-spaced and between 1,500 and 2,000 words in length (a total word count must be provided at the end of each paper). Papers will be marked based on the quality of your description of the current event, the quality of your description of the research described by the articles that you found, and your arguments as to what useful insights those research findings provide in helping to make sense of the current event that you have chosen.
