The environment is made up of different ecosystems. They all interact to the benefit of each other. The aquatic ecosystem provides the water necessary for sustenance of the terrestrial ecosystems. There are organisms that depend on these ecosystems for survival. Some of them can survive on both ecosystems while others can survive in one and not the other. These organisms have to feed on nutrients that are found on either or both of the two ecosystems. They both, therefore have to have the nutrients that are needed by the organisms in question for them to remain relevant in the environment.
