The Manic movie is set in a psychiatric unit of a mental hospital. The movie exhibits the life of ward residents and the diverse problems and challenges of rehabilitating the mentally disturbed groups. The star in the film, Lyle, is placed in the mental institution against his will after violently injuring his fellow classmate. He is compelled to deal with fellow patients in group therapy exercises where he quickly befriends Chad, a young man with a bi-polar disorder and also become attracted to Tracy. Tracy is quite haunted and screams at night. The ward also comprises of other patients such as Sarah and Michael. Sarah and Michael are recovering drug addicts. Kenny is the youngest of them all with only 12 years and the entire group is headed by Dr Monroe, a recovering drug addict who uses his experience to help the young patients heal as they fight for inner peace……………………………………………..
