Literary Analysis Paper
Select one of the short stories below to read and analyze. Applying critical thinking skills to your work, develop a question that can be supported by literary analysis and two critical essays.Paper Requirements

Do a close reading of the work, making an analysis (explication) of the elements of the works, such as the characters, style, themes, symbolism, etc.
Make sure that your paper is a true essay, with an introduction, thesis, body, and conclusion.
Using The Method and the 10 on 1 techniques discussed in Writing Analytically (16-33, 105 – 117), you should be able to identify an interesting aspect and/or element of the story to write over.
Include two critical (that is secondary sources) sources in addition to the story (or primary source) and use direct quotes, paraphrases, and summaries that will support your thesis. The rule of thumb for direct quotes is about two short (under three lines) or one long (over three lines) quotes per page. Make sure you have a clear in-text citation that cross-references the quotes tot he works cited page. Also, see rules for the format for short quotes versus long block quotes.
Submit PeerMark draft of at least 500 words according to PeerMark instructions
Format and document the paper in MLA style, 8th ed. complete with proper headings and double spacing.
Submit feedback draft before it’s due date. See link for further instructions.
Submit final draft of 750-1000 words, exclusive of works cited page. The page should have one primary source and two secondary sources that are scholarly in nature*.
