It is interesting to know how language development takes place in infancy. Even in that young age, language can be seen in infants. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association defines language as the shared rules in a society that guide the meaning of and making of words and gestures (Newman, and Newman, 2009). Their language skills are however different from the older people. In this stage, the infant’s language receptive skills are more advanced than their expressive skills.
