This assignment asks students to examine the impact of the Islamic World on the 21st Century. Create a PowerPoint presentation with five images to demonstrate the influence of the Islamic world on the 21st Century. This can be architecture, art, academics, medicine, etc. Each image should be on its own slide. Images can be photographs, paintings, sculptures, etc. The two slides after each image will explain the connection between this modern image and the Islamic world using images you find on the Internet. Each slide description should be approximately 150 words (300 words total per image), with most wording provided in a notes document (see below).Example – The study of algebra is from the Islamic World and a mathematician named Muhammad Al-Khwarmizmi. An image of an algebraic equation could be on one slide and then two slides after the image would be an explanation of the history of algebra and how it impacts modern society

Assignment Expectations

Length: 175 words per image (900 total for this assignment)Structure: Include a title slide at the beginning and a reference slide at the end. Each image should be its own slide and then two additional description slides per image. Minimum of 10 total slides (not including the title and reference slides).

Each slide will have no more than 20 words; the remainder of your slide description will be in the speaker notes.
