At least on the surface, the names, “Braves”, “Indians”, and “Chiefs” would not seem to be as insulting to Native American as the “Redskins” mascot. Why does Churchill argue that these other mascots, too, are examples of “blatant racism”, and to what extent do you agree or disagree with him?
How effective do you find the analogies that Churchill draws between Indian mascots and stereotypes of African Americans, Hispanics, and other ethnic groups? How effective are the analogies with other kinds of groups (those based on gender, sexuality, etc.)?

The names used to refer to teams are not only offensive but also racist. Other mascots are also viewed to be part of the blatant racism. Churchill views it blatant racism because despite the claims from fans, team members and coaches that they are doing it for fun, on a social based approach it is far much from any acceptable social behavior.
