Video Summary:For this assignment students must watch PBS Nova’s Cracking the Maya Code (Available via YouTube and a link on the Canvas site). Your assignment is to write a 2-page, 1.5 spaced summary of the video highlighting the history of the decipherment of Mayan hieroglyphs. Your paper should take note of the importance of art and archaeology in telling the story of the Maya. The mechanics of the paper (grammar, punctuation, and writing style) is as important as the content of the paper.
