Gender characteristics

As explained by Crooks & Baur (2014), the term transgender is used to refer to people whose behaviors and appearance is not in accordance to traditional gender roles. Unlike the transsexuals, a transgenderist does not make any change or modification in his or her physical body. In short, transgendered individuals do not undergo any form of anatomical alterations, but some of them may opt to dress or act like the other sex.
