As we’ve moved from only talking about ‘producing’ films to thinking about marketing and creative strategies for reaching your audience, for your Final Project for the semester, you are to finalize a pitch idea into a written format. There should be three elements to this written proposal.
1) Description of Idea/concept/film project/internet app/etc. This should be well written and clear and give a sense of the main concept behind your idea. It should answer questions that make it clear why we would want to support the production of the idea and how it would differ from other similar projects, websites, etc. in existence.
2) A budget summary. This should just be a rough estimate of costs to develop the idea and/or produce a pilot, etc. or the entire project. Please be realistic and thoughtful about this and try to create a sensible doable cost breakdown.
3) A marketing plan. This can be very simple but it is important to note any strategies to getting your idea out to its audience
You don’t have to do the patch but turn in all the materials
Requirements: Long enough to answer what is supposed to be answered
