You should articulate your opinion of the film and also discuss how it fits in with the history and theory you are learning. It should be clear from your writing that you have watched the film and are putting it into dialog with the week’s material. This assignment asks you to apply the theoretical concepts and historical frameworks from class to a film of your choice. You need to use at least one theoretical chapter or essay and one historical chapter or essay in each of your analyses. Make sure you clearly identify which film you are writing about. You should have a works cited page clarifying which readings from class you are using in your analysis.
