Imagine that you are a preschool teacher. Describe a situation in which you would use an extrinsic reward to motivate a preschooler. Discuss how these motivators could result in learned helplessness. Now, give examples and explain how you can lead the same child to achieve intrinsic motivation by becoming his or her own locus of control. Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation in Children

Motivation is an important factor in any given individual. Motivation may be intrinsic or extrinsic. However, of the two types of motivation, intrinsic motivation is way better as one can be able to do well irrespective of the external factors of motivation in the extrinsic motivation. In the case of a preschool scenario, if there was some exam that the children were to undertake, as a teacher, I would put forth a target for the children………………
