Children are not getting the proper interaction with others due to the dependence on the Internet and especially social media. The way things worked before the boom of the Internet is not the same anymore due to the ease of connectivity to any social outlet. People who were born before the Internet got to interact with their neighbors and use their imagination to entertain themselves (” Social Networking: Advantages Vs. Addictions”, 2011).Kids had to come home from playing outside when the streetlights came on because outside is where they always wanted to be so they needed a cue to come inside.
Another way to look at this is that people are now so busy that it is easier to let their children get drawn in to the computer and their phones. It is so much easier to le the kids get caught up in their own activities and this allows the parents to relax or do the work that they need to get done. Its not that children are so attached to the Internet, it is more that they are given the freedom to explore form themselves and stay out of the physical trouble at home. Trouble now comes in a new form on the internet and serious trouble and harm can occur if not addressed properly (Social Networking: Advantages Vs. Addictions, 2011).
Investigation
What aged group is utilizing social media?
What are positive effects of Social networking/Media?
What are negative effects of Social networking/Media?

Conclusion of the Investigation
The aged groups utilizing social media are children, teens, and pre-teens. “The younger section of society comprised of children, pre-teens and teens accounts for a very large portion of the internet populace. The same group also accounts for the most rapid increase in internet use” (Social Networking: Advantages vs. Addictions, 2011). This group of children will stay online for many hours and the majority of the time is social networking. Some positive effects of social networking is that all information needed for research can be found on the web. Teens are communicating among other teens through internet. More people are involved or have knowledge with what is happing around the world. Negative effects of social networking; people are exploited or abused. Behavioral issues people are taking advantage of social sites and committing crimes. Health issues; kids rather are use the internet than go outside and play.
Solution Ideas
The listed ideas are aimed towards what parents should do to protect children from excessive cyber use and issues concerning the Internet.
• Be more involved.
• Limit the use of social media.
• Arrange a village of social media users to help monitor.
• Monitor what their children are doing online.
• Engage in investigation,by Google searching the cyber child online.
• Set parent controls on online resources.
Together the ideas “B.L.A.M.E.S” parents for the lack of parenting. If these six ideas are used parents can get rid of the blame.
Two Potential Solutions
The two ideas that are the most imaginative, original, and positive potential solutions to the problem: Arrange a village of social media users to help monitor and engage in investigation,by Google searching the cyber child online. Arranging for family and friends to help monitor, will allow for strict monitoring and parent awareness. Engaging in online investigations can enhance parent knowledge of what the cyber child is ultimately doing online.
