1.
Paper – Each student will submit a written summary of his/her research on the issue. The paper will be graded on content, composition, proper citations and needs to address the following points:
a.
At the beginning, you will need to state what topic and position you have been assigned and whether you initially agreed or disagreed with this point of view on the issue.
b.
In the body of your paper, you will need to present at least five (5) sources that you used to learn more about the topic when you were doing research, along with a short summary of what this source’s position was on the issue, how this confirmed or changed your point of view on the assigned issue, and its full citation in a bibliography section of your document (APA format preferred).
c.
In closing, please reflect on what you learned as a result of this assignment.

Debate – Each student will prepare and deliver their 2- minute speech on the assigned date. In addition, the students as a team will participate in the rebuttal speeches and answer any questions from the audience. The students will be graded on content and delivery of their assigned 2- minute speeches (individual portion of grade) and on the overall team performance in coordinating their speeches and rebuttal performance (group portion of grade).
