Each partner should role-play as a client, then role-play as a counselor. You will practice and demonstrate basic counseling skills through role-play with a classmate. These role-plays are not intended to be real counseling sessions but rather an opportunity to practice your skills. As the client, choose topics that are not real to your life right now; this is not the space to bring up past traumas and is intended to give your partner a chance to practice the skills listed for each week. We do not expect to see “movement/change” happening in these sessions.
