Corroborative evidence under law is any additional information that is offered to the trier to be used in support of the case at hand. The information is meant to help in the case and if a certain position had been taken by those in charge of that case, any additional information from a witness in support of that position is corroborative evidence. In modern position, corroborative evidence is not a must when dealing with a rape case.  Despite the fact that statistics have shown that many rape prosecutions have resulted to acquittal, corroborative evidence which could be of help is not used as much in modern positions, (Barn and Kumari, 2015)………………………………
