1. This homework about emergency communications has two parts. The first part is about how *you* would like to communicate with police, fire department, or ambulances in emergencies. I’d especially like to know if you think using appsis a good idea.

The second part is intended to give you an idea of how people react under stress, and make you think about what this means for emergencies. Does this change your opinion about apps for emergencies?

4. The pilots had to deal with an unfamiliar situation. Would it have helped if they had been trained for this situation?
5. Do you think that people are stressed when they have an emergency and need to call 9-1-1?
6. What is better for calling 9-1-1: A simple technology that people use every day, or a new better technology that people are unfamiliar with? Does stress or training have something to do with it?
7. Does this change your opinion about using an applike EmergenSee? Explain why or why not.

This is especially important in the event the feedback is needed instantly, for example in emergency situations like fires or when one wants to get in touch with the authorities for whatever cause. Applications have especially eased the processes as they make communication more interactive, for example via social networks that are increasingly gaining popularity among the generations today.
