As humans being we all go through the developmental changes which is a process that occurs as soon as conception through death. Therefore, the beginning stages of development happens within the early stages of infancy through childhood. Most of the early stages are influenced by the psychosocial and social interaction with our parents or caretakers. In addition, the environment also plays a sufficient role in human development. Our cognitive functioning is affected by the mental growth if how humans process information through reason and understanding the environment we are living in (Beltran, 2020). Many different stages that humans experience life and extends through one stage to another based on theories( Murphy,2021).
However, the psychological changes cause cognitive development which provides a way for our minds to understand the stages and the different levels of growth. Now each stages takes us through various physical, cognitive, and learning milestones. The human goes through Eric Erikson theory of psychosocial development and Jean Piaget proposed a theory of cognitive development (Murphy,2021). Each theory describes the completion of development and as humans continue to experience life. The lifespan involves everything that we experienced through a lifetime. It is Erikson theory that explains humans continuously and changing and developing throughout life.
Each major theory explains human development stages and provides different concepts such as Jean Piaget theory of cognitive development (Murphy,2021). The concept describes different stages of how humans learn and acquire information. Then another stage describes how the information is processed and used within our environment. All stages of human development are a critical part of our life and how survive in our environment. So, each theory is a major step in how we as humans evolve throughout our lifespan or lifetime.
