Cloud Platform is an emerging paradigm which has become a prominent force for hosting servers, applications, and databases. The Cloud paradigm has the ability to provide accessibility across the globe without having a physical location and has also increased the user base by millions. This increases the vulnerability of the applications hosted on cloud as they are accessed by users for business and personal device and hence the Cloud based security has to be robust and upto date The security is not only confined to users who are accessing the application which comes under Authentication security but also Integration security a medium through which various applications exchange data and communicate with each other. This paer would focus on both Authentication Security and Integration Security of Applications.
The Authentication security methods provides a layer of protection by restricting unauthorized users from access to certain privileged and sensitive data using protocols such as SAML and SSO. The Integration security deals with Encryption and Decryption of data and safe guarding the Swim Lane of integration built between applications.
The purpose of this work is to discuss the various benefits of cloud integrations and challenges faced and how cloud security is used to Safe guard the applications. Through research from peer-reviewed journals, this paper presents the challenges with the cloud computing environment and the implementation of access controls to ensure greater security. The research produced in this specifically covers HR Applications which includes applications such as Workday, Salesforce and Service now hosted on Cloud.
