A servant is a helper of the Lord or a person whom chooses to influence others through there ministry. A servant of the Lord may be someone who sings in the choir, preaches, or people who just spread the word of the Lord daily to people they may not know. This is what the Lord expects of us and it is our duty to carry it out. It is our way of being a representative for the Lord and doing our Christian duties. In leadership it is the job of that leader to make sure their followers are doing what they are suppose assigned to do. When in leadership if a person is not doing their job then they may be given an admonition or fair warning before action steps are taking. We can relate this to Christ because he is a leader who expects us as a people to do as he instructs in his teachings and readings. “When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. Do you understand that I have done for you? He asked them. You call me Teacher and Lord, and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you” (John 13:12-15). This verse is an example of how Christ wants us to serve and not be ashamed to help out our neighbors when needed. We should always be willing to humbly helpful towards one another. As a leader, I can apply what I am taught through a Christian perspective when leading others and guiding them to be more Christ like in their leadership also.

Doing what commanded of us is the first thing, as God commanded Moses to lead His people. Even though, they turned on God and Moses in the end. In Psalm 23 it describes trust from the Lord. The green pastures for food and rest. Also, the shepherd over God’s people. Psalm 77 talks about reflection of trouble and pain. However, God wants us to remember and mediate His wonders that were perform during their exit from Egypt. (Psalm 78: 70-72) describes how God selected leaders from their religious beliefs and hard work ethic to rule over a country to train/teach people to provide for themselves and their families. Isaiah 40:11, talks about the gentlemen of God’s love by the gathering of the lambs the pure. Hosea 11:4, beast of burden were the Israel people. God used restraints but yet provided for their well-being. They were getting out of control. In Matthew 9:35-38, Jesus delegated power to His disciples to continue to reach people who need healing and saving.

In Revelation, strange, symbols, and language that is not easily understood, yet the anticipation and hope for the future. To continue to serve God, we must display our Christian perspective in our home, jobs, and in life to allow our light to shine so that people can draw unto the glory of God. Many people find it challenging to recognize signals of change that surround them in the environment (Clawson, 2012, p. 164). In today’s society to see someone who is emulating God is rare. It is a commandment of God’s will to serve His people. Many leaders can carry-out such mission, while others take the wrong turn.
