Interpret the significance of selected artworks within their broader cultural context and then develop critical analyses through discussions, journals, presentations, and essays
Describe selected works of art in written papers and tests
Quotation marks are necessary to indicate sentences or phrases that are not your own. Quotations from books or other printed sources must include the author’s name and the title of the source. At least 85% of your essay should be written in your own words. Plagiarism will result in a zero grade.
Your essay must be typed double space in a word document and contain 750 words. Essays that have fewer than 750 words, or more than 800, will be penalized. Essays with fewer than 750 words will be failed. Late essays will receive zero grades. Pay particular attention to writing style, sentence structure, grammar and the organization of your paper. Do not use the words I, me, my, you or your.

Describe the texture of the painting. How does the texture effect the mood of the painting? Is the image nostalgic or sentimental? Explain why it has a particular mood?
