Description:There are many new technologies and their related issues being discussed in various resources. For example, many companies offer Database-as-a-Service; RFID has been used for tracking merchandise; augmented reality is being used for tourism and started to be developed as another way of learning.
What you need to do for this assignment are:
Browse through some websites, newspaper, trade journal, or business magazine that are published between January 2010 and the time of your research. Find a currentreal-world article related to a course related topic. For example, a new technology that you think would have a significant effect on business — It can be a new software technology (e.g. application development tools), new hardware (e.g. new input devices), or an innovative way of using existing technology (e.g. a new online service).
Briefly describe what it is (or what it does). You may quote from other sources, but please cite it (Let us know where it is from). Explain it using your own words. Do NOT simply copy & paste. Please keep the description as compact as possible. If it is an innovative way of using existing technology, explain what the technology’s original way of use and what the new way is.
Tell us what impacts you think the technology will have on business as well as individual person if you are presenting a new technology. Or, whether you agree with the argument in the article, why or why not.
Tell us whether there are any challenges for business if they want to adopt this technology

Milestone #1: Proposal (3%):The mini-research proposal should be posted in “Mini-Research Discussion” forum with the subject as the title of your research. The content area should be a short paragraph explaining which topic you are planning to work with and a tentative reference list containing at least TWO references from difference resources. Each student must work on a unique topic. The topic will be reserved at first come first serve basis. Therefore, before posting your proposal, make sure that you’ve checked all the proposals being posted. If there’s already one student claiming the same topic, you will need to find another topic to work with. If you do not see any negative comment from me within 48 hours after you posted your proposal, you can start working on your proposed topic.
Milestone #2: Online Report Posting (10% points total):Post your report file in our “Mini-Research” forum as a REPLY to your approved proposal by deadline specified above by copying and pasting your report file in the content area of your posting while attaching the original cited paper (and/or the URL to the original paper if it is available in the reference section of your report). The report should be one and a half pages. The report should have the following outline:
Title(1%): Title of your report and your name
Introduction(2%): Overview, Objectives and the Structure of your report
Finding(5%): Discuss on the questions below
Base on your research, what is the technology/service you want to discuss?
Why do you think it is important?
What are the impacts of this technology/service toward business as well as individual person (if it is a technology for individual use)?
What are current challenges for business to adopt this technology based on the resources you cited?
Do you agree with the argument (if there’s any) in the article you reviewed? Why or why not?
Conclusion(2%):
What is your own conclusion?
Any other benefits or challenges/risks you envision that was not discussed in your references?
Reference(0.5%): Just as in the articles you’ve read, include a reference marker where you refer to each in your report, and provide full bibliographic references at the end of your presentation. If the article you cited is online, provide an URL along with the copy of the paper (Note: please make sure that you keep a copy (hardcopy or softcopy) of the original article since the URL may be broken at any time…)
Milestone #3: Submit source article(s) (2% total): Bring a hard copy of any source article you cited to class on the day of submission.

Make sure that you use sub-titles in your paper to keep your report organized.
