Introduction

In every state, victims of crime are safeguarded by the law. In Arizona, the victim rights are contained in victim bill of rights in Article 2 Section 2.1 of the Arizona Constitution. Some of the Vitim’s rights listed under this section include; the right to be treated with dignity, fairness, respect, and to be free from abuse, harassment, intimidation, throughout the process of criminal justice. The right to a speedy and fair trial leading to conviction and sentencing. The right to be informed, upon request, when the convicted or accused has escaped or is released from custody.
