Goals: To provide a well thought out case conceptualization of a child and an adolescent, as if you are a social worker. You will select a case of a child AND a case of an adolescent. Cases to choose from are attached.
Product: A 8-10 page or more (total for both cases) APA formatted paper referencing course material.
Child Case:
- Describe the symptoms.
- What diagnosis would you give this child and why? Substantiate with DSM-5 criteria and consider development stage and cultural sensitivity aspects when substantiating your diagnosis . What is the prevalence of of your diagnosis among children in the U.S (if data is available)? Explain what screening tools you would to help you assess and diagnose.
- Suggest and describe an anticipated treatment plan which incorporates two evidence-based interventions. Explain your choice. Suggested treatment plans and interventions should take into account cultural aspects and demonstrate cultural sensitivity. In addition, ensure that selected interventions are based on ecological, strength-focused, and family-centered model principles.

- Describe any expected obstacles that might impede effectively intervening with this child. When describing obstacles consider cultural aspects which may be impacting the intervention process.
