  • What is Culture

Culture refers to the characteristic of a group of people which is defined on the basis of language, social habits, traditions, customs, values and beliefs. To an organization, culture is the behavior of the people within the organization and the meaning that those people attach to the behaviors. It encompasses the organization’s vision, mission, beliefs, values and norms. Thus according to Cheung et al., (2015), “organizational culture is the values and behaviors that contribute to the unique social and psychological environment of an organization.”

Culture is very important because first of all, it highlights the ways that the organization contacts business, treats employees, customers..
