You are to create a PowerPoint Presentation (75%)  and a video (25%).

 

It is a mostly free topic.  You may choose whatever you would like to talk about, keep it fun.  The exceptions are as follows:

  • No PROJECTS about
    • Sex
    • Drugs
    • Religion
    • Politics
    • Family
    • Family Pets
    • No previously done projects from previous and present courses.
    • No projects about the country which you are from.
    • No projects about your field of study.

 

Keep the assignment fun and light.  Something of interest, a hobby, favorite place, favorite past time.

 

For the PowerPoint you must:

  • Research your subject
  • Find photographs

 

Below are the criteria for the PowerPoint and Video portions of your presentation.

 

PowerPoint Criteria

  • Your Presentation should not be your entire research assignment.
    • USE THE 7X7 RULE
      • 7 lines per slide (maximum)
      • 7 words per line (maximum)
    • Use key words and/or phrases to make your point
    • DO NOT crowd the slides with too much text or pictures
  • Use the NOTES Pages underneath each slide to include some information you are going to talk about if/when presenting in front of an audience.
  • The purpose of the presentation is to give details, information or teach about a subject.
  • Be sure that your slides contain both text and pictures
    • There should not be any slides with pictures only
  • Be sure to submit a PowerPoint Presentation and not a Slide Show. (Be careful on how you save it!)
    • DO NOT make the slides change automatically
    • The Presentation MUST have a minimum of 15 slides.

      • Slides 2 – 14: Presentation
      • Slide 15: Work Cited, Links and resources
    • INCLUDE A LINK TO YOUR VIDEO (see below)

 

Be sure to add your picture somewhere in the PowerPoint Presentation and in the Video.
