Read the articles, “3 Five-Minute Social Media Tasks that Add Value to a PR Retainer,” “The Power of Social Media Analytics,” and “Winning Social Media Strategies for Public Relations.” Based on the text and the articles, select an organization’s social media venues (e.g.,the organization’s web site, Facebook page, Twitter feed, or LinkedIn) and answer the following:  How does a public relations professional get the most from a blog?  How does a public relations professional get the most from a Twitter feed?  Why is it an advantage for a public relations professional to create hashtags on Twitter? A public relations professional can get the most out of a blog by being newsworthy which means taking whatever message they have and rephrasing it including in the process a piece of information from the news; or relating your message with recent news because this will create a huge media coverage. You can also just blog your take on the news or send a real time media alert and people will read and even share the same. The messages however should be brief and not boring, the professionals should try to add a personal touch to the message…
