PSYC421 Barnum Effect Presentation

You will create a PowerPoint or Prezi (prezi.com) presentation discussing the Barnum Effect. In addition, you will collect data from 5 people (friends, family, coworkers, etc.). You will give them the following test: http://psych.fullerton.edu/mbirnbaum/web/personalityB.htm. Then, ask them to rate the accuracy of their results on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 = not accurate at all; 10 = 100% accurate). Record their results and present them as part of your presentation. You may also include follow-up questions to obtain qualitative data on their reaction to the accuracy of the test or the Barnum Effect, once you have told them their results. Finally, integrate the data with the research on the Barnum Effect. Be sure to include at least 1 peer-reviewed resource, in addition to your textbook.
