The Justice name Alito

REQUIRED Discussion Assignment: You should all read all of the very short bios of all the justices provided at the Supreme Court site assigned for 9/22 and, of course, all of the Toobin info. After that, you will need to find out more about the Justice assigned to you on September 10th. Find and read at least one other academic or journalistic source on your Justice and read one of his or her opinions. To do this, go to Supreme Court Review,http://supremecourtreview.com/default/justice/ Click your Justice and select from among “Memorable Opinions.” (This may be an opinion for the majority, a concurring opinion, or a dissenting opinion. But you must read the whole opinion, not just an excerpt.)

2. In a two to three page paper, 1) describe your Justice’s background, 2) report what you’ve learned about her or his jurisprudential ideology, and 3) assess his or her strengths and weaknesses as a Supreme Court Justice. Be sure to include your sources.
