It is often the sanctions schools face that receive the most attention
in the high-stakes testing movement.  To what extent is it fair to
hold schools and, specifically, teachers accountable for student
performance?  Are there extenuating circumstances that should be taken

All that is involved in levels of the education system accountable for the performance of the student in schools. The teachers and the schools have significant responsibility for the academic achievement of students.

The teachers to a large extent can be held accountable. They are liable for the teaching of the curriculum, delivering instruction and planning. Also, they handle choosing the learning resources from the vast number of choices available in the district and schools as well assessing the progress of the students……………………………………
