Throughout this course, you will be required to create various aspects of a Social Media Campaign. These aspects consist of a website, infographics, visuals, a short video, social media posts, and an action toolkit. The purpose of the campaign is to inform and persuade a specific audience about a particular issue. It is also about helping people to get involved with the campaign or take action to promote it. Decide what kind of campaign you want to create throughout the course by doing the following:

Research existing social media campaigns to get an idea of how they are run and what kind of campaign you want to create. (See this GCU sponsored campaign for inspiration: http://gcuitsonus.wix.com/gcuitsonus)

Choose an issue your campaign will promote. This must be a unique campaign that you create. You cannot recreate an existing campaign.

In 500-750 words, describe your campaign. Explain the issue it addresses, why you think it is necessary, who the target audience is and what their beliefs about the issue are, what might currently be influencing their attitudes, what attitudes the campaign will try to get the audience to adopt, any ethical implications of it, and any other goals of the campaign. Include a potential hashtag that will help identify your campaign and discuss the rhetorical implications of your choice. What would make it an effective hashtag, given your answers to the questions above?

You are required to cite two sources to support the need for your social media campaign for the issue you have chosen.
