My Problem of Practice is:

A significant problem of practice that I am interested in improving is minority students (particularly African-American males) experience disciplinary actions and consequences at higher rates in my school district; moreover, it is a problem across the country. I know this problem exists because to my dismay, I have witnessed first-hand minority students being disciplined at rates alarmingly higher than others are, and I am eager to continue my quest to help improve this disconcerting fact. My “program” will help improve this problem through improved discipline and classroom management, by creating positive classroom environments, and through building relationships with students.
